Within the research priority area Yield of the University of Amsterdam, there is funding for up to four PhD projects. Yield conducts multidisciplinary research – including medicine, psychology, pedagogics, education, communication, economics, and psychometrics – on human development (for more information, see http://cde.uva.nl/research/rpa-yield/about.html). Yield covers topics on parenting, health, psychopathology, education, and psychometrics.
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, or should have obtained a Master’s degree by the expected starting date of the PhD project (September 2016). The project must be supervised by a Yield principal investigator and should preferably be multidisciplinary within Yield (for a full list of Yield principal investigators and their research interests, see http://cde.uva.nl/research/rpa-yield/members/who.html) and the research must be conducted at the University of Amsterdam. Each grant will cover personnel costs for a four-year, full-time, PhD position, as well as research costs (max 10.000 euro).
Students who are interested in this grant opportunity are encouraged to develop their own research idea in collaboration with a Yield principal investigator and to write a PhD project proposal fitting the requirements and goals of Yield. Potential applicants should contact one of the Yield principal investigators to supervise the project. You can request an application form by sending an email to Ricde@uva.nl. Applications should also be sent to this e-mail address before April 15, 2016. Applications will be reviewed by internal and external reviewers; candidates will be notified of the results in June 2016. Questions regarding this grant opportunity should be sent to Helle Larsen (H.Larsen@uva.nl).
