Student-assistant position, Social anxiety lab, Leiden university

Dr. A. Miers is looking for an enthusiastic, independent, and ambitious (research) master student to help investigate the effectiveness of a new, brief, intervention to help socially anxious youth. This research is funded by a grant from Leiden University Funds. The aim of the project is to test whether positive feedback from age peers can modify negative thinking in high socially anxious teenagers. The project will benefit early preventive methods for social anxiety and will be used to inform the development of an accessible adjunctive e-health intervention to help socially anxious teenagers approach social situations with confidence.

The applicant should have a strong affinity with scientific research and experience with working with adolescents. The project offers an excellent opportunity to be at the center of research directly relevant to clinical practice with very valuable research experience for your CV. This 0,2 FTE position is available for a period of up to 9 months.

If you are interested (or for enquiries) send your CV and (short) application letter to dr. Anne Miers: acmiers@fsw.leidenuniv.nl
