VNOP-CAS Research Days 2024 – Thank you!

On November 28-29, we hosted the 10th (!) edition of the VNOP-CAS Research Days, with 138 researchers attending. Thank you all for participating and making this event a success!

On Thursday, PhDs and postdocs attended one of the three workshops to develop their skills as young researchers. Topics included: How can we share our research with a larger audience? How can we benefit from using Artificial Intelligence in our research? And how can we conduct a single case experiment? After gaining insights into these questions, we got to know each other better over pizza, drinks, and a scientific music bingo (which spontaneously turned into a karaoke session!).

On Friday, all researchers in the field of developmental psychology and pedagogics were welcome. The day began with an inspiring keynote lecture by Eddie Brummelman on achievement inequality in children, followed by multiple rounds of paper and poster presentations by our RM students, PhDs and postdocs. We wrapped up the conference with a panel discussion on diversity and inclusion.

Thank you once again to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s VNOP-CAS Research Days. We hope to see you all next year!

Best regards,

The 2024 Organizing Committee
